About this opportunity

Ericsson Enterprise IT has created a centralized team with the mission of developing common tooling and automation to solve problems that every development team has. We are now looking for an IT Product Architect.

The IT Product Architect role incorporates aspects of software engineering and applies them as part of platforms whose goals are to create ultra-scalable and highly reliable software systems reducing manual intervention.

As part of the Platform Engineering team, the ideal candidate will apply entrepreneurial spirit to drive strategic topics, effective DevOps processes and ensure high quality of our deliveries.

 

What you will do

  • As an IT Product Architect, you will 
  • Work closely with development teams to achieve high level of availability, reliability, and performance of their service
  • Develop platforms & automation on top of AWS, Azure and GCP to continuously reduce the need for manual intervention
  • Implement automated solutions for continuous integration and delivery (CI / CD)
  • Develop Platforms for Infrastructure through automation (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Develop automation, optimize, and drive efficiency in processes, tools, and communication across teams
  • Apply SRE best practices as code
  • Participate in root cause analysis

 

The skills you bring

  • BA/MS degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in software engineering with strong understanding of operations
  • Experience in Amazon Web Services and/or Azure, and strong desire to learn building on GCP and other maturing cloud platform
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes & Docker
  • Good understanding of DevOps tools and methods for Cloud Computing environments
  • Scripting skills using Python or PowerShell or Bash
  • Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning using Terraform
  • In-Depth knowledge of git and git workflows and able to leverage CI and CD tools to automate build and release process. Extensive experience implementing CI/CD automation using tools Ansible, Packer, Github Actions
  • Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts both in technical and nontechnical situations
  • Can clearly define and propose solutions / options, and considers the broader impact of problems / solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong English language
