About this opportunity:
We are launching an exciting DevOps initiative that aims to overhaul how we deliver solutions, using As-a-Service on public Hyper Cloud Providers (HCP) as our vehicle. Our goal is twofold: To thrill our customers by delivering services they love and giving them a competitive edge, while building a "lean and mean" product development organization that will allow Ericsson to scale at profit. What you will do:
- Apply your expertise: Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions as part of an agile team, ensuring our tools and infrastructures are robust, scalable, and user-friendly.
- Collaborate: Work closely with development teams to solve and resolve infrastructure-related issues and provide support.
- Stay up to date: Keep yourself updated with industry-standard methodologies and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to the team: Participate in an agile team using Lean, Agile, and DevOps methodologies and tooling, contributing to continuous integration, delivery, and deployment capabilities.
The skills you bring:
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), focusing on infrastructure and services management. We are working with GCP as our primary cloud provider and experience and certificates in GCP will be highly valued.
- Demonstrated experience implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices architecture and containerization technology, including experience with Docker and Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles, with a proven track record of setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, systems monitoring, and experience with tools for log aggregation, metrics collection, and distributed tracing (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Jaeger).
- Hands-on experience implementing GitOps or equivalent experience with tools like Flux and/or ArgoCD, showcasing their ability in continuous deployment and automated configuration management.
- Knowledge of standard methodologies for cloud security, data protection, and compliance, in line with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience designing, monitoring, and tuning applications to handle increasing workloads for horizontal and vertical scaling.
- Practical experience in optimizing performance using caching mechanisms, database optimizations, and reducing latency with solutions like content delivery networks (CDNs).
