In the L1 Software Development team within the Engineering Unit Cloud RAN, Product Engineering Unit vDU, our primary task is to systemize and implement the Physical Layer Baseband functions in our vDU product with the overarching goal of maintaining Ericsson's leading position in the market. We are responsible for implementing L1 across a wide spectrum of solutions, deployment scenarios, and frequencies specified in 3GPP standards. Our particular emphasis is on developing Physical Layer features tailored for COTS HW and cloud environments.
We are currently seeking a senior L1 Software Developer to join our exceptional team in Kista. In this role, you will work on our 5G RAN L1 Software product, playing a pivotal role in ensuring its success.

What you will do
You'll play a crucial role in shaping the architecture, actively engage in the implementation of features and ensuring its seemless performance during deployment.
You do this by:
• Collaborating with our dedicated engineering team to design/systemize, develop, and maintain software components critical to our product's functionality.
• Participating in the enhancement of existing features and the development of new ones, with a focus on optimizing scalability, performance and reliability by taking full advantage of the evolving architectural and services inherent to a Cloud Native Platform.
• Participating in code reviews, testing, and other activities to uphold software quality standards.
• Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving software issues, providing prompt support to maintain seamless operation.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and the latest technologies, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and improve our product.
• Engaging in a dynamic and agile development process to meet project timelines and objectives.
You will bring
• Passion for Software Development: A genuine interest in software design, a desire to learn, and an aim to excel in your field.
• Strong Programming Skills: Demonstrated ability in embedded software design and strong competence in C/C++ is a must.
• Familiarity with Cloud Environments: A good understanding of cloud platforms, with experience in deploying and optimizing software in cloud environments.
• Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of x86 architecture, 5G RAN, and NR Physical Layer functions is highly desirable.
• Collaboration: Ability to work in international, multi-site teams. Encourage speak-up environments, come with a strong can-do attitude. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile development environment and stay updated with the latest industry trends. Consistent track record to deliver complex software solutions, on-time and with quality.
• Drive for Innovation: A proactive approach to drive innovation and improvements in software development practices.
• Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Communications Systems or similar field.
